A data centre is a specialised facility for collecting, storing, processing, exchanging, and distributing data. It is a platform with server and communication equipment connected to various communication channels. Data centres are used in many areas for the distribution of static and streaming media content, paperless document management, running business applications, development activities, deployment of test environments, and performing other tasks.
Data centres designing
Designing is a complex and multi-stage job, preceded by analysing the structure and data flows of the company, the customer’s objectives and needs, selection of sites and determining their suitability. Every project has to be designed individually, and standard solutions are practically impossible to apply. This approach makes it possible to create a centre that is fully adapted to the operating conditions of a particular company.
Design and construction is based on meeting basic requirements:
- Backed-up communication channels to ensure uninterrupted data transmission;
- Creation and maintenance of the appropriate climatic conditions in the Data Centre, regardless of outdoor conditions;
- Ensuring reliable electricity supply and energy-efficient consumption of electricity;
- Arrangement of cable routes by mounting raised floor;
- Ensuring network and physical security through the installation of specialised software, CCTV, security points and other components;
- Ensuring fire and environmental safety;
- Arrangement of air-conditioning system, dust and moisture protection.
Reliability requirements for data centres are regulated by the international standard TIA-942. The standard allows for 4 classes of fault-tolerance. Continuous availability rate is 99.671 % for the first level, 99.7 % for the second, and 99.9 % for the third and fourth levels.
Data centre design and construction costs
Data centre set-up costs vary depending on the ToR. Factors such as room layout, server hardware, resource planning and engineering systems, virtualisation, computing platform, database, storage, applications and some others are all factored into the cost.
Our company is committed to a conservative pricing policy, which is why we offer comprehensive data centre solutions at a reasonable cost.
